A set (as known in the fitness world) is a series of repetitions performed for a particular exercise. For example, let’s say we want to perform 2 sets of 6 repetitions for the dumbbell curl. This is how that progression would look:
Set 1: Perform 6 repetitions:
Rest
Set 2: Perform 6 repetitions
This progression (above) is considered 2 sets of 6
repetitions.
